The GB4280 Gantry Horizontal Band Saw Machine is a heavy-duty horizontal band saw designed for cutting large and heavy metal workpieces. With a double-column gantry structure, hydraulic feeding, hydraulic clamping and platform-type material feeding, the machine provides stable support for demanding large-scale sawing applications.

The GB4280 is mainly designed for cutting round discs, large cylindrical workpieces, shafts, square forged blocks and the end faces of large forgings. It is suitable for sawing various ferrous metals and is designed to provide high cutting efficiency, narrow kerf, material savings and simple operation.

With a maximum cutting capacity of Ø800 mm / 800 * 800 mm, the machine is suitable for large-diameter and large-section workpieces that require stable and reliable cutting performance.

The GB4280 uses platform sliding-carriage feeding rather than conventional roller feeding. The workpiece is placed on the feeding carriage, which moves forward and backward through hydraulic control. This configuration is particularly suitable for handling large or irregular workpieces.

1. Heavy-Duty Double-Column Gantry Structure

The GB4280 adopts a welded double-column gantry structure to provide reliable support and improve machine stability during heavy-duty sawing.

The machine columns use welded steel construction, with linear guide rails arranged to provide stable saw-frame movement. The saw frame is driven by two hydraulic cylinders simultaneously, helping maintain stable lifting and lowering movement.

2. Large 800 mm Cutting Capacity

The GB4280 provides a maximum sawing capacity of:

3. Hydraulic Stepless Feed Control

4. Hydraulic Double-Vise Clamping

The machine uses front and rear hydraulic vise cylinders to clamp the workpiece. The dual-vise design helps maintain better material parallelism during cutting and provides stable workpiece positioning.

5. Hydraulic Automatic Blade Tensioning

The band saw blade is tensioned hydraulically. After the blade is installed on the drive and tension wheels, the hydraulic cylinder drives the tension wheel to apply blade tension, making operation more convenient.

6. Carbide Blade Guide System

The machine uses movable and fixed guide arms. The guide seats use carbide components on the top and sides, together with a pre-guide system to improve blade guidance stability and help extend blade service life.

7. Stable Reinforced Saw Frame

The saw frame uses high-quality steel plates with reinforced welded construction. After vibration stress relief treatment, welding stresses are redistributed and reduced, helping improve the stability of the saw frame during operation.

8. Efficient Cooling and Chip Cleaning

The GB4280 uses a centralized cooling pump to supply coolant to the cutting area. Cooling points are arranged around the left and right guide arms and above the saw blade.

A passive chip-cleaning wheel is also provided to remove metal chips from the saw blade and help extend blade service life.

9. Platform Sliding-Carriage Feeding

Unlike a conventional roller feeding system, the GB4280 uses a platform sliding-carriage feeding system.

The workpiece is placed on the carriage, which moves forward and backward through hydraulic control. Feeding and return movements are controlled by buttons.

The specified feeding stroke is 1000 mm, while the material carriage is 1500 * 800 mm.

10. Stable Main Transmission

The main transmission consists of a worm gear reducer and drive wheel. The reducer is directly connected to the drive wheel, providing a rigid transmission structure, low noise and stable power transmission.
