The GB4240 Double-Column Horizontal Metal Band Saw Machine is designed for efficient and accurate cutting of various metal materials, including round tubes, square tubes, plates and other common metal workpieces.
As a mature member of the GB Series horizontal band saw machines, the GB4240 incorporates proven sawing technologies and continuous structural improvements. It features high cutting accuracy, efficient operation and reliable performance, making it an ideal solution for small- and medium-batch metal cutting applications.
The machine adopts hydraulic workpiece clamping and hydraulic stepless cutting-feed adjustment, allowing operators to adjust the cutting process according to different workpiece requirements. The roller-type material support rack provides convenient material support during operation.
The GB4240 uses a rigid welded machine structure, hydraulic saw-frame lifting, adjustable blade guides and an integrated hydraulic/electrical control system to provide stable and convenient metal sawing performance.
The machine base adopts a box-type welded steel-plate structure, with the bed and columns securely mounted on the base. Vibration stress-relief treatment helps reduce welding deformation and improve structural stability during operation.
The GB4240 uses a fully hydraulic cylinder-driven clamping system. Operators can clamp or release the workpiece directly through the control panel, making operation simple and practical for different types of metal materials.
The cutting feed speed is adjusted through a hydraulic stepless control system, providing flexible control over the sawing process for different materials and cutting conditions.
The left and right guide arms can move along the dovetail structure, allowing the distance between the guides to be adjusted according to the workpiece size.
The guide system helps maintain the blade perpendicular to the worktable while reducing vibration. Rolling bearings, wear-resistant guide blocks and dual bearing support at the back of the blade further support stable blade guidance.
The saw frame adopts an arch-shaped welded structure with reinforced steel plates. The saw frame is driven vertically by columns combined with hydraulic cylinders, providing stable saw-frame movement during cutting.

The main transmission uses a worm gear and worm system. The worm gear is made from tin bronze and precision-machined, while the hardened worm is ground using precision equipment. The gearbox housing uses Meehanite cast iron, contributing to transmission precision and service life.
The standard machine is equipped with a roller-type material support rack with a length of 1,000 mm, providing convenient support for materials during cutting.
The hydraulic system consists of pumps, valves, cylinders, oil tank, pipelines and integrated hydraulic components. Under electrical control, it performs saw-frame lifting, workpiece clamping, feeding and return operations.
An additional top clamping set can be installed as an optional configuration, providing additional clamping support for specific workpiece requirements.
